The trail begins from Tai Tam Reservoir Road after taking a short flight of steps up by the gas station at bus stop* of Wong Nai Chung Reservoir Park. Along the road up, it comes to Wong Nai Chung Reservoir on the right. Follow the path on the dam to the right, then take a short flight of steps down on the right at the end of the dam. Heading a short distance, it joins Tsz Lo Lan Shan Trail ahead which winds along the catchwater. Along the way, it offers scenic views over the southern district as well as on the coasts of Deep Water Bay and Brick Hill. The trail also cuts through lush verdant woods. After running on the muddy path, it becomes narrow, but railings are set up in part of the section. Further going ahead, it opens up.
Some buildings obstructs the view of Repulse Bay, however it still gives a splendid view if you overlook the farther small islands and the indented coast. Afterward, it joins Wilson Trail, then follows it to the right that leads down to Tsz Kong Bridge through a flight of step.
* If taking bus from the south district, get off at Wong Nai Chung Reservoir Road, then follow the Wong Nai Chung Reservoir Road up on the upper right opposite the bus stop.
Tsz Kong Bridge (Tsin Tsui Wan Au) to Tai Tam Reservoir
At Tsz Kong Bridge, there are several branches path. Taking right path along the catchment through the hillside could go to Stanley. Moreover, going ahead could climb The Twins. After crossing the bridge, take the left path to Tai Tam Reservoir. The sylvan path winds along the hillside and skirts Tai Tam Intermediate Reservoir. It is comfortable in the peaceful woodlands with a landscape of lakes and mountain. Heading to the dam, take the right path then join Tai Tam Reservoir Road. Follow it to the right. After crossing the arch bridge and further going ahead, Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir and its long dam could be seen. Finally it leads to the bus stop at Tai Tam Road.
Exit: At Tze Kong Bridge (Tsin Tsui Wan Au) toward the catchwater, there is a sylvan side path on the right that leads down to Repulse Bay.
